Do I need to return the Pocket WiFi?
Yes, our pocket Wifi is a rental item, and it needs to be returned.
Please put the pocket Wifi, the AC adapter, and the USB Cable in the prepaid return envelope we provide, and drop it into the mailbox anywhere in Japan by the midnight of the return date. No return fee.
How do I set up the Wifi?
Turn on the WiFi unit by pushing the power button for about 3 seconds
Select the SSID and Enter Password we provide
Can I cancel my reservation?
We issue a full refund when an order is cancelled before 5 days or more prior to the start date(Pick up date). There are some charges for the cancellation made later than that.

100GB monthly allowance and renews the following month. What I did not like was I was instructed to add the daily GB usage from each device. Oh, well, do you add the daily usage of two iPhones and two laptops every day before the clock shows 12 AM? And, customer service. It took 5 and half hours before I was able to clear the PCR test, installation, and confirmation of x4 apps working, verify the address for the next 14 days of the self-isolation, immigration, and customs. By the time I was in the arrival lobby, Narita airport's post office was closed. I sent them an email, and in a few hours a reply came in, and I received the WiFi at a different address. That was easy and painless.

Highly recommend. Their unlimited WIFI is virtually unlimited as promised. I've used over 1TB without being throttled lol Great prices. Keep them as it is with the special right now. If it was regular price, it would be less attractive to go with Lightpocket.

Due to corona, I liked the price discount. 60 days for approx 12,000 yen. taxed in. Lightpocket's regular pricing is kind of expensive to be honest, if they kept their pricing as the specials now, it would be pretty affordable given the unlimited data cap. I've experienced no data cap essentially, passing 100GB with the occasional network glitch which requires a reboot of the pocket wifi and all is good. Speeds are at best 5MB/s down. I was hoping for more, but that's just a network and device limitation I hope.

Got the pocket wifi unlimited SoftBank for around 30 days, the service worked perfectly without a problem, delivery was really quick, and the support was amazing, I made a pretty big mistake with my order so I contacted the support team and not only they replied within minutes, but also they gave me the best solution possible. Rented the 4G portable wifi. Easy to start and return, no need to travel to shop, can get the machine in the mail. Speed and stability is quite good for 4G as well. Price is fair. Easy to use backend to manage and extend rental. The only complain is the machine can only connect to 7 devices at the same time. Not sure if that's usual for a limitation with these machines. But for usual travel needs I guess 7 is quite enough. I used it at home which were not quite enough but could manage to survive ... sometimes have to switch off some device to allow others. Overall quite good, would choose it again.
